| Wine from Alentejo awarded in the 11ª Essência do Vinho Image Credits |
Alentejo is famous for its people who have an easy paced, free of worry
set of mind and more importantly… their amazing wine production!
Four Alentejo
wines were distinguished in the 11ª edition of Essência do Vinho, which
occurred earlier this month in the city of Porto, Portugal. “This is good
news for Portuguese
wine and very good news for the wine
region” said the association for regional alentejano wine production.
In the top 10 presented at
this wine fair, Alentejo wine region
was represented by four wines Sociedade Agrícola D. Diniz, João Portugal Ramos,
Herdade da Malhadinha Nova and Susana Esteban.
Alentejo wine region is the national
market leader in wine production with 263 producer and 97 retailers, in a 21,970
acres of vineyards.
